My Business Cards

These are printed on grey board that was scrap in the print room. I printed a full colour black on the back aswell. This was just to make them a little more unique and a little nicer. It gives them a more precious feel that I am going for. I went with Oliver Shaw in the end. I think just coming out of college it is a better option because it obviously gets your name out there and all of that.I also did less of this colour because I would give these out to people that are more important than other, these are to give out to people I would like to try and impress.

These are ones that I printed a whole load more of, they are just on thin white card. I still really like these ones but there are a lot so that I can give them to whoever whenever. Once again I printed a block colour on the back, just because it makes them more interesting and makes them feel double sided even when they're not really.

Tom's Cards

These are some really quick business cards for some social networking event my friend was going to. I wanted to keep them clean and simple as I didnt have a lot of time to do them in. I printed about 100 of them and they turned out pretty nice.
Its really good to do quick and simple things like this because they will be handed out to all sorts of creative professionals, some maybe wanting to hire graphic designers etc.

Promo

I have got to the point now where I need to get a name and a website. Keeping the 'cut' in it, it is relevant to graphic design and my practice. I have lost the lightening bolt to, it was seen to much and looks a bit childish.

I dont want to put just my name as I think it is boring and there will be a lot of people who have just put their name and 'design' after it.

Cut Studio

Here is a business card for the new name. I didn't want to just use the name Oliver Shaw. When you log onto the site it will be called Cut Studio and it will say Cut Studio is the online portfolio of Graphic Designer Oliver Shaw. I just think it sounds a little more professional with a name, other than just my name.

I was going down the line of cut and paste, so its not the most random name, it still relates to the a graphic design kind of meaning.

Business cards 2

The same design but landscape. It looks to plain for me this way around, I have no idea why but I prefer the portrait stuff because its different to an average business card.

Business cards 1

These are two ideas for some one sided business cards that could be mocked up. I want to do them really simple like this, black and white and one sided. This keeps it more simple. Printing it on a plain stock will be better for the simple one colour print. I want to find some simple off white 100% recycled stock.

Web site design

I am going to set up my web site with Indexhibit. I was goin to employ my brother to do it but the sites he builds are flash sites and I wouldnt be able to update it to often. So here are two really simple ideas of what it could look like on Indexhibit. I have added a random picture generator on the home page also, this will give it a different picture everytime it is refreshed.

I like the way it looks. I am going to keep all my stationary and promo stuff as simple as possible so it ties in with the web site. Keeping it black and white will be the best way.
