Website

Me and Tom have set up a new website for the studio. We have put collaborative projects on and projects we have completed by ourselves. We feel we have put a good balance of projects up and that it represents the way we work really well.

We used Cargo instead of Indexhibit. The overall aesthetic of Cargo is cleaner and more professional. Also Cargo is easier to use.

The Studio

Me and Tom went to have a look at the studio the other day. It is bigger than I remember, we know exactly what we need for it and are going to start getting moved in very soon. It is very exiting. We had some stern words with the landlord too so we don't get in any trouble or anything. All in all at the moment everything is looking very hopeful and we cant wait to make a start.

Funding

We have been looking into funding for the studio. We have looked at the arts council and at Business Link. It is pretty good and insightful but we can't get any funding. It was just on a whim, not anything we really 'need'. It would just be nice to get a little cash.

Test Space

Tom got some prints in Test Spaces in Leeds. He put it in under the name Workshop. This is good for him but also good for the both of us. We put this silly little zine in it too, the first zine from the 'Workshop Press'. We like it, were hand numbering and stamping them all. We feel this is how a zine should be, not any really content, cheaply made and looks good and funny.

This is pretty good exposure.

Books Arrive

The book finally got here, we are really really pleased with the results and it was a massive day for us. Our first big print run and it all worked.

The fliers were cut with a blunt blade so they have two tattered edges. I spoke to the rep I was dealing with and he said with un coated stock the blade always has to be fresh otherwise it does that. They were really cool about it, they picked the old ones up and dropped some new ones off.

Fine Art Book Sign Off

Pretty big deal, we had to check all the proofs that Jade had sent us. We checked them over three times then we let fine art do it. I had to sign and date every page because it was all in my name. Its pretty daunting really knowing you have so many thousands of pounds as the bottom of a pen, but its also pretty exiting, it was obviously a massive deal for us.

Through The Eyes Of Nicky Howells

http://sidewalk.mpora.com/videos/through_the_eyes_of_nicky_howells-1.html

This is a skateboarding website for a magazine, it is a pretty big deal and massive in England. The main guy in it Nicky Howells is wearing one of my shirts. I got a little exsposure from this which is cool but they have sold out now so it is a little annoying, I wish there were some left.

Another series, maybe Ol' Dead Rappers 2 is in the pipelines.
